Noise levels in an apartment in dBA

Which daytime and nighttime noise levels are commonly specified for residential premises and why measurements are needed.

Noise levels

Common reference levels for residential premises are up to 40 dBA during the day and up to 30 dBA at night; the maximum permissible values are 55 dBA during the day and 45 dBA at night. For court, it is important that measurements are performed correctly and linked to a specific noise source.
